Chapel Cross

This cross was designed for a columbarium chapel: The Road Less Traveled. It is mounted over a flowing rock fountain at the American Lutheran Church, Prescott Arizona.

The cross is forged from 1/2 x 1 inch and 1/2 x 2 inch solid copper bar. The bar had to be forged and textured hot out of the forge. The elements were then rivetted in place with 1/4 and 1/2 inch copper rivets.

A bracket of copper was formed for the wall mount. The patina was developed to highlight the hammered cross peen texture.
