Copper and steel are very malleable metals allowing a wonderful range of tooling options. In this Desert Saguaro Vase, the deep forms in copper are tooled by small repousse’ punches with contrasting softer hammer marks. The steel frame is scrolled hot with hammer and anvil. Both the copper and steel forms are enhanced with patinas, acrylic clearcoat, and wax for a durable finish.
